The Penn State Wrestling program has a proud tradition of excellence both on and off the mat. In 96 years of intercollegiate competition, Penn State has finished in the top ten (Division I) nationally 40 times and its wrestlers have won 20 national titles. Equal to the task in the classroom as well, PSU wrestlers have earned a substantial number of academic All-American honors. Most importantly however, is the ethos imparted into the wrestlers who become part of the Penn State program. As a foundation for these young men learning how to ultimately succeed in society, Penn State wrestlers are taught to seek for excellence on the mat and in the classroom. They are also expected to maintain high standards off the mat and outside of the classroom. Follow the program this season as Penn State enters its 97th year of Divison I wrestling competition.
